“ I visited the Phoenix area and set out on an adventure to Prescott on 12/12/2024. My family arrived at lunch time, and we found Murphy’s Restaurant. What a great find! We started with the Lobster Mac and Cheese appetizer. I had a prime rib dip sandwich. My mom and sister shared a Reuben, and my brother-in-law had the chicken sandwich. All entrees were exceptional, the portions were fair for the price and the staff were awesome. I highly recommend Murphy’s! Rod from Minnesota!! ”

“ We were just in town for the week. My husband really wanted prime rib, so we took a chance. The food and service were great. They could have trimmed more fat from the prime rib, but it was still a nice piece of meat. The interior could use a little updating, except for the bar. And, they have happy hour every day they are open!! We would visit again. ”
“ Dave, Dan, and Billy, the bartender were all fabulous but of course Billy turned out to be my favorite. He cracked me up and he knew what a vodka sonic is! I gave it a name over 30 years ago, vodka, soda, and a splash of tonic with lime, it’s absolutely delicious. My chicken tortilla soup was fabulous. The wedge salad was grand as well. My husband had the blue cheese, strawberry, walnut salad, and that was the bomb. he also had the land and sea kebabs, they were cooked absolutely perfect. The only thing that wasn’t perfect with our meal was the rice, we tried to eat it, and we felt like it was gonna break our teeth, not fun . History, love the location, and I love the atmosphere. I WOULD RECOMMEND ”

I had salmon with my wedge salad. The bread was soft, warm, and fresh out of the oven. It was incredible. I wasn't going to have dessert, but caved when waitress, Bailee, suggested carrot cake. Oh, my, it was exquisite. I learned that many things have changed for the better. If you were not going to come here based on the reviews or previous poor experience, I would urge you to give Murphy's another chance. You will be pleasantly surprised. The prime rib was tender and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Based on this initial experience, I am already looking forward to returning for dinner to sample their Prime Ribs and Ribs, which I anticipate will be just as impressive. “ A Savory and Historic Experience Step into Murphy's and be taken back to an era of excitement and entertainment where the focus is on you! Enjoy an elegant ambience with a cozy atmosphere and a staff that is extremely engaging and fun. While known for their exquisite prime rib and complementary dishes, my personal favorite is their hidden gem Happy Hour menu from 3-6pm every day, and specifically, the delectable crab cakes; all of it is great, though, so no shame in ordering the whole menu! My personal experience with Murphy's goes back 20 years, as this was the go to dinner stop for my parents and I before leaving Prescott after visiting for the day. They've since passed on, but the tradition has passed down; I've now become a regular, I'm the goofball at the end of the bar constantly bugging and bantering with the staff, and each of them are truly awesome! So stop in, enjoy a good bite and a laugh ”
